Held Together

2026 · Acrylic and hot glue on canvas

      ABOUT THE WORK

A glue gun appears in this painting not only as an object being represented, but also as a tool that physically changes the artwork. Real glue extends beyond the painted image, crossing the boundary between two-dimensional representation and three-dimensional material. This interaction interests me because the same substance can be both functional and expressive. Held Together examines how ordinary tools and materials can become unexpected subjects of artistic attention.
