About River.
I'm a writer, performer, visual artist, and student researcher interested in the ways we tell stories — and what can be lost between experience and expression.
My interests move between literature, theatre, music, visual art, and research in psychology and law. While these fields may seem unrelated, they often lead me to the same questions: Whose perspective is being heard? What gets left unsaid? How can we communicate complexity without reducing someone to a single story?
Whether I'm editing a poem, performing onstage, making an image, or studying how teenagers understand their legal rights, I'm drawn to work that challenges my first interpretation and makes room for what might otherwise go unnoticed.
